چکیده
For the first time, Division de Chimie Organique (DCO) of Société Chimique France (SCF) and European Journal Organic Chemistry join forces to celebrate awardees Prix la 2020. This collaboration is in fact very natural as one Europe journals owned by chemical societies, including SCF. It also became obvious both entities that tightening our bonds would be mutually beneficial. rapprochement has been underway for some time now, but it had not yet translated into concrete action. The pandemic spurred us take this step! We organized joined virtual meeting: “EurJOC-Journée DCO” on September 30, 2020, with an exceptional line up speakers: Frances Arnold, Thomas Carell, Jean-François Nierengarten, Xavier Bugaut, Ludovic Favereau. event was followed over 800 viewers discussion after each talk proved they were actually listening! In addition organizing scientific meetings, mission DCO-SCF promote its members at every stage their career: from end PhD achievement renowned researchers. To end, DCO awards eight prizes year. Innovation and Benefits A fundamental aspect of chemistry involves creating chemical bonds between carbon atoms. Chemical processes commonly used to make such bonds usually also generate significant amounts of waste. Professor Krische developed a broad new class of chemical reactions that make bonds between carbon atoms using hydrogen and metal catalysts. This new class of reactions can be used...

Background: Metalloproteins are proteins capable of binding one or more metal ions, which may be required for their biological function, for regulation of their activities or for structural purposes. Metal-binding properties remain difficult to predict as well as to investigate experimentally at the whole-proteome level. Consequently, the current knowledge about metalloproteins is only partial....
